BYU Chip Camp
There will be two sessions of Chip Camp in 2026. Session One will be June 30th–July 2nd. Session Two will be from July 7th–9th. Registration for 2026 camps will open December 3, 2025.
Get Excited About Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math!
Do you like to solve problems and enjoy competitive challenges? Would you like to experience hands-on science activities, especially related to the semiconductor (computer chip) industry?
Experience what scientists and engineers do every day!
A three-day day camp for youth ages 12–14. An equal number of boys and girls will be allowed to participate.
Chip Camp is hosted by the BYU Electrical, and Computer Engineering Department with the help of professors: Hawkins, Mazzeo, Chiang, Wirthlin, and Harrison. Chip Camp counselors are students from the IMMERSE program.

Session I:
June 30 - July 2, 2026

9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Lunch is provided.
Session II:
July 7 - 9, 2026
Tuesday - Thursday
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

* Lunch is not at a set time and depends on which group the student is in, but is generally within an hour of noon (anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.). Lunch for each group lasts 30 minutes.
**Students must be picked up at the roundabout in front of the Wilkinson Center at 4:00 pm each day. Parents/guardians must be there by 4:00 pm. Chip Camp staff are student volunteers there will be no personnel to sit with your student if you are late to pick up. There is no need to get out of your car at pickup; tell the staff your child’s name and they will walk them to your vehicle.

Refunds
Refunds minus a $25 processing fee may be granted until the Friday before the camp. Refund requests must be submitted in writing. Refund requests can be emailed to ceprograms@byu.edu. NO REFUNDS will be granted after the Friday before the camp.
